Beech Hay ABOUT

BEECH HAY LIVESTOCK

Beech Hay began in 1977 when the name was first registered for a stud of Shetland Ponies. Started with help from Mesdames Exley & Gough, we formed a very successful stud with our first stallion being Corn, purchased at Reading sale as a weanling for 90gns. This seems nothing, but it is worth noting that most foals at that time were around 10 – 20gns. Also on the lorry home was Caroline, a filly, both from Lady Joan Gore-Langton’s South Park Stud.
In 1979, Welsh Cobs came to Beech Hay and since then we have bred sheep and cattle of different breeds, all of which have been successful in the showring for us and our customers.
Beech Hay Livestock has exported livestock to Europe, the Caribbean and the South Atlantic.
Currently we have a range of breeds and species available to view and sometimes purchase.
We aim to ensure that these are correct in every way, healthy and animals their new owners can enjoy. We offer full support to our customers, often years on from their purchase.
Nothing gives us greater pleasure than seeing stock we have supplied go on to be show winners or sale toppers.
