Daniel Grinnall was born in June 2005, sadly too late to ever meet his Grandfather, Mick, but nevertheless, a beneficiary of all that he began.
Daniel enjoys the shows and farm sales and in his first year of showing sheep in young handlers aged 3 years, won several prizes including first at Monmouth Show and third at Tenbury.
On his pony Gleiniant Spindrift, he competed successfully for his school at NSEA competitions and when home he regularly checked his sheep whilst riding her. Now outgrown, she is on long term loan to a lovely local family.
After school at Abberley Hall, he moved on to Shrewsbury where boarding keeps him away from his animals a lot of the time. However, his enthusiasm for his Border Leicesters, Zwartbles, skiing and shooting soon returns when he gets home.
At Shrewsbury School, where he is an attentive student, he is usually on the river coxing Shrewsbury’s fantastic crews. He has attended regattas around the country including Henley Royal Regatta in 2020.
